Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Angry HID problem help please

ok so i recently got the ddm 8000k hid kit and everything was included like it should but anyways i got the ballasts and wires run to the headlights but i have no clue how to get power to the headlights, im running a positve wire from the fuse box and a ground from a bolt by the drivers side fender but still nothing lights up, just the parking lights if anyone could inform me on this that would be

you got the 9007 kit correct? and are you using a relay harness or just a plug and play kit?

If he's got a wire run to the fuse box and one to the strut bolt he has to be using a relay. That or this is the biggest HID kit wiring fail of all time.

yes it is the 9007 kit and it is said to be plug and play but im not sure on the relay

what exactly do you mean by wiring fail? like what i did by running the wire to the fuse box or what

The headlights have to know when to turn on... So that is the wire that you are missing right now.

okay then all you should have to do is plug the blue 9007 connectors together

what I mean was if you spliced into the wiring and added a wire to run for each then ya failed. But if your harness had a wire made to be run to the fuse box then your fine. How about you post up a pic of what you're working with and we can tell you for sure. Everyone knows we here at CSS.net love pics.

I just put 10ks in my headlights and fogs and first tried to use the relay and that didn't work so i just didn't use it, did the plug and play feature and pulled the drl fuse and it worked like a charm. Ya post a pic man cauz i wanted mine to look super blue and they look really white so im anxious to see what you 8ks look like.
