High IAT2

My friend recently changed his ic pump because his was going out, after he changed it the iat's shot up to over 175 and got up to as high as 230.He already tried putting back the old one and that didnt work, you can see the water going into the option b tank.Has anybody ran into this or any suggestions on what it could be?Thanks

On a few post guys were talking about the same issue, and it seems to be from air trapped in the system which takes a few days to work its self out.

The thing is,with the option b tank and the bleeder line to the heat exchanger, its supposed to bleed the air rather quickly and its been 3 days already.

Have him think through how the hoses are hooked up to make sure he is circulating properly through the heat exchanger.
Drawing it out on paper and using arrows to show flow helps greatly.

The thing is with the old pump, his crusing iat2 was at about 118-125 and now its in the 140's.The hoses were all connected the same,he cut the hoses to only go where their supposed to,so he couldnt have mixed them up when he changed the pump.

When I installed my SC kit recently I too had this problem. I was getting mad because even after a 5 mile round trip I'd have to add coolant. Since I had to run my IC pump to a fuel pump fuse my friend told me to run the pump while the car was sitting in the garage.

When I did this I could hear a loud noise, pumping noise and then it would get quiet. I let it run in the garage for a half hour and the loud noise started getting quieter and it almost sounded like the pump wasn't running.

The loud noise ended up being a gargling noise and was air in the system because when I would hear the garling noise I would get some bubbles up through the reservoir and then it would go low again.

A few more days later it settled down and has been fine since.

There is still air in the system.
