Hole in firewall!
What's wrong with that? My buddy had a 2g eclipse gs-x for a little over a year, and that thing had been rebuilt and torn apart over 5 times, not only mechanically, but cosmetically (Accidents). It had 10 owners, including him. This thing had been raped, and blown up on dynos, time and time again.
Man that thing was a ******* ****-box. It had a very clean set of 18's on it, lowered on Tein springs, HKS turbo-back exhaust, K&N intake, big 16g turbo, stock 4g63 block with internals, ACT 6-puck clutch.
Other than that, what a ******* dump. It was black, the hood was a different shade than the rest of the car you could tell in direct light, the windows would rattle like crazy if they were rolled down even the slightest, it had some annoying valve tick if you didn't use thicker oil, 3rd gear syncro was destroyed, had some bad oxidation marks, struts were blown, brakes squealed like a freight train, rear hatch needed to be manually held up.. I could go on and on..
It was on 28 pounds, complete daily driver. That car was quick.
Sometimes you just need to not care about the problems and just enjoy it, really.

well i just got the new clutch put in and here i am 48 hours later already having clutch problems. if i push the pedal in fast the pedal stops and won't let me push it in anymore. I have to let off the pedal and push it back in to get it to go to the floor.
keep in mind i did this while parked. i haven't shifted above 3k rpms since i got the clutch put in.

Not being bled properly usually results in a pedal with no resistance at all, not a stiff pedal. Didn't you say they had a hard time physically fitting the clutch in? I'd be concerned about the alignment. Does it do it EVERY time you push the pedal in fast or is it an intermittant thing?

just happened to feel it do it when i was on my way back from the bank.
aside from that, were you the owner after frazier? if so what all had you known about the car and had done to it. do you have any pictures?
Her and Wes (Frazier) are BFF... she didn't own the car after him... she knows the car from when he owned it.
Also, how did the GMPP clutch not fit? Honestly... it is exactly the same as the Stock one... just better. There is NO reason why it shouldn't have fit. If you are an idiot, and don't know what you're doing... yeah, I can see how it would seem like it wouldn't fit.

And yeah, if they couldn't get the GMPP to fit I would have serious questions about their installation of a stock clutch....

I think they sent me the wrong clutch. I think they sent me one for a turbocharged cobalt. reason being when you look my car up by the VIN it comes up as a turbocharged for whatever reason. yes an 06 turbocharged lol, must be the only one made and the smallest turbo ever, so i think thats what happened. I sent that clutch back via Fedex today so i guess i'll see for sure next week when they get it back if it was just bad install or not. I would be surprised if it was the right clutch because the plase that installed it is a transmission shop so they do strictly tranny work so I'm pretty sure they without a doubt know what they are doing. They said none of the holes were lining up or even close to it for that matter.... idk.
EPIC
after seeing this thread im waiting for my old car to pop up on here. i sold it in alexandria VA. and i know it went to auction plus i left "cobaltss.net" in both rear quarter windows

well... my car won't move. only way i can get it to move is if i start it with the car in first. then when i start it, clutch depressed or not it starts moving and i can't shift, i have to start it in the gear i want to be in. luckily this happened less than a block from my house so i drove it home in first gear. can definately see something flexing major where the hole in the firewall is. i'm about over this ****. had the car since july 8th and haven't had it in full working order a single day yet.

this thread is amazing man o man, ill feel bad for whoever buys my car in the future only upside will be a fully built twin charged car..... my car has been off warranty since 3 months when i had to use the free tow from the track to the dealership cuz i snapped an axle at the track with my nitrous set-up in the car LOL black mark no warranty

Like I said, if they couldn't get a GM clutch for a 2.0L to fit... then you need to start questioning the installation of that clutch... which is obviously apparent now that problems are already starting to arise (aka: Clutch not bleed properly).
If you want to fix it/bleed it yourself... PM me and I'll give you detailed instructions. 2 people will be needed. If you want me to come fix it for you... a tank of 93, a case of Sunkist, and a Domino's Pizza is what it'll cost you.
If I were you, I'd seriously stop taking the car to Dealerships and/or local shops. They **** more **** up than you think. There is plenty of knowledge on here and you'll become more in-tune with your car once you start doing the hard labor on it. You'll also appreciate it a lot more.

The clutch won't even push in unless i use a great amount of force, then i hear air depress and the clutch finally goes all the way in. but when i start the car in neutral even if the clutch is pressed in i can't put it into any of the gears and if i start the car with it in a gear weather the clutch is pressed in or not the car just starts moving instantly and then i can't shift into any other gears so i have to drive it in the gear i start it in. i drove all the way home in first going like 8 mph from work last night just so i wouldn't have to pay a tow bill on top of all the other **** i've had to pay for in the past few days.
