when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Low fuel pressure will cause random misfires. Or the cam/crank shaft position sensor.

Could be anything from dirty injectors, low fuel pressure, shitty or malfunctioning spark... Bad gas..

sounds like spark plug gap is off or the spark plugs need to be replaced. I would gap them to .035 or less if I were u.

you don't need bigger anything. Maybe just maintenance. Like I mentioned before, the fuel filter will cause you to run lean. It needs to be replaced every 30k miles. This could very well be the cause, or bad plugs. But unless you have 100k miles, the plugs should be fine under normal driving conditions.

i had this same problem. it was only misfiring at idle. i had a shop run cleaner through my injectors then blow them out. he also changed the timing a little. i was showing no misfires while on throttle.

FUEL FILTER, more than likely is the cause.
