Idler is one bolt. There's an access window in the passenger wheel well that gives access to the bolt.
Better question: why do you need to remove it?
lol you just replied to my p0017 issue. I made a mistake and thought that this pulley was the one makeing the noise, turns out it's the Ac clutch, do you have any pointers on how to take that one off?
What kind of noise? Squeaking/squealing? That's most likely your tensioner needing to be replaced.
If it truly is the A/C pulley, you're probably going to need to replace the entire A/C Compressor.
it's not the tensioner I already replaced it, I took off the belt and spun each pulley and noise was coming from the Ac one, grinding and a squeaky because metal on metal.
It'll probably be easier to replace the entire A/C Compressor. I'm not sure you can get just a new pulley for those compressors... and since they're a clutched setup, I wouldn't think it'd be an easy replacement, either.

On rock auto I can get a ac compressor clutch set, with pulley for 70 bucks vs a 300 dollar compressor.
Interesting. I do have a spare A/C Compressor in my garage. The pressure plug has been blown, but the pulley assembly should still be functional. I might try looking at it to see how easily it can be removed. Hopefully the pulley doesn't need to be pressed off - I wouldn't think so. If you're doing the work yourself, that can be savings. But if you're having to pay someone to change it, it might end up being cheaper to just get the new A/C compressor.

that would be awesome, even just to find out the bit size. Because I don't want to strip anything.
