how many people have changed their sc oil and had problems?

like the title says.. im just wondering if people had problems after changing their factory sc oil

You shouldn't have problems regardless unless you messed up something while changing your oil.

eaton says the oil is good for the life of the supercharger... you shouldn't have to

True... however the life of the SC is only 100K. So if you are hoping to run it more than that you may want to change the oil. Also, when running a smaller pulley you do create a bit more heat, so it is a good idea the change the oil.

guess it depends on how small a pulley you want to run. the most efficient pulley (per eaton) is the 2.8

idk, if i ever service the blower, i'll prob port/polish it while i'm at it along with changing the oil, or just upgrade to the tvs

From what people have said, the only common problem that results from an oil change is overfilling. ZZP says it's 6 ounces but a LOT of people argue it's only 4.

If you overfilled and it ruins anything it will blow the seal at the snout and start leaking out. AFAIK this is the only symptom, so if your engine bay is coated with SC oil that seal probably went out.

changed mine, 4 oz , no probs, ported it the same time
