How messed up is this bs

So i was in an accident that did $3500 worth of damage to my ss/sc. After the accident i nticed the clutch pedal was stiff and the only way i could put it in 1st gear was to shut off the vehicle and put it in. Then to take off i would not push the clutch in and the car would lurch untill it took off while i was cranking it over. When driving i push in the clutch and the rpms do nothing. Its like my clutch will not disengage. Now im told that it is not accident related, how is possiable to not be related if it wasnt that way before?

Brake and clutch systems use the same resevoir but seperate master cylinders.

Think about it, if they used the same master, you would be locking up the brakes every time you hit the clutch.....
