hurst short throw frenzy

hey guys... i have been up for nearly 4 hours dealing with the hurst short throw shifter. i had it installed on my car for around 10k miles before it stated to wobble and feel very uncomfortable. i took it off tonight and my shifter assembly gave me hell. i finally have ny stock shifter assembly back on the car but i forgot to put the car in 4th before i removed it. the car was in nuetral and i cant seem to get the cables right....any ideas? this has been driving me absolutely insane!!!!!

did you mark the cable before you pulled the gray plastic clamp off? that might have helped. other than that, someone else will have to jump in.

what is wrong with the hurst? is that black ball just loose? i put loctite and epoxy on mine, as well as torqued the **** out of it. i may end up pulling it out and getting a TWM.

my suggestion is get the clamp back on as close as you can to where you remember it, shift into fourth, and adjust from there.
