turn the car on, check under your hood if the filler neck is kind of bubbling

should it take a certain amount of time or coolant temp?

even at idle the little filler neck should have the fluid moving a little bit.

If you have an interceptor gauge, just check your iat2's if they dont drop while your driving a round the fluid isnt flowing

there should be a significant amount of flow through the filler neck. if you even think it might not be flowing cuz its hard to tell then it probably isnt.

easy fix though, get the pump from a ford parts dealer for about 80 bucks, and with the right tools it can be swapped in under an hour.

thats probably why. its not against any heat radiating objects and its cooling down fluid already cooled down once

Thats what I am hoping for. Just kinda worried cause I don't have anyway to moniter IAT's but I do have meth so that is a little bit of a safety net. lol

In the future... know that the pump is a simple 12 volt system. Its on when you start the car... its off when you turn it off.

You can test it by hooking up an outside 12V source.

Mine died last year. Was a bitch.

A member's IC pump died and it cost almost $400. to get another one from GM.
On top of that these pumps are supposedly as cheap as they come and they will die sooner than later.

That's why you get a Lightning/Cobra pump off of eBay.

well you dont necessarily have to run another GM one. like one guy said you can get one from ford for $80. i dont know the validity of that though

I am guessing that it will fit in the cobalt brackets? Does it flow anymore cause if you could get one that does, i would think it would lower IAT2's a little.
