Yesterday I was leaving the lake and instead of reversing out like i should have I Drove forward and ran over a log. It was about 12ft long and i made it about 1/3 up the ******* thing, then I was hung up so the people I was with lifted my car on the passangers side and i reversed. But as i reversed it either tore off my oil filter or possibly the oil pan.

Uhhh. I hope your not driving it, because if you lost your oil pan or filter, and start it up, your going to **** your engine.

BTW: I doubt you lost your filter, because it's up under the S/C and doesn't hang down.

Another thing, I also doubt you ripped off your oil pan. Now, if there is oil everywhere, you probably punctured your oil pan if anything.

The reason i say im retarded is because i knew when i parked there i needed to reverse but when i shut it off i left it in 1st. So i got in and saw it was in first so i figured i could go forward i normally put it in reverse before i get out so i know when i get back in.

The only reason I think it's funny is out of a total of 6 cars ive had first five being older shitty cars and then my ss/sc. Is that I never got any accidents or fucked up any of them but i have had like 3500 in bodydamage my pass. seat is burned someone keyed along the driver's side door and some drunk tried snapping my spoiler in half. It just seems like since i got it only bad things have happened. However as long as its running good i love this car. And no I turned it off right when i got off it its parked 2ft away.

I can't understand what happened from your post. However, there is no oil filter to rip off on this engine. The housing is cast right into the block. And you can really rip the oil pan off either. I assume you have a puddle of oil on the ground?

 

I took pics last night but i dont know how to post them on here. And I found out that the log ws about ten ft long and i went about 8ft up the bitch. If I would have been going faster instead of just pulling out i probably would have went over the whole thing.

 

My dealer is telling me i need a new engine but I'm sure i don't. Because i shut the car off as soon as i got off the log and the next day when i had it towed there was another oil spot under the car. Unless the idiots at the dealership tried starting it.
