the infamous power steering message...
as the title says, i am losing power steering and getting the message on the dash. I know that its more than likely the steering column but not certain. I just had my sportlines installed today and the car rides/drives fine. i just went out for about an hour and the steering went out 4 times. had to keep shutting off the engine and starting it back up while rollin down the hightway for it to "reset". Lemme tell ya though, taking an exit at 70mph and having the steering cut out just as u start into it SUCKS!
im confident everything was done correct, me and a mechanic buddy at the dealer i work at put the springs on. do you think it was just a coincidence that it happened the same day? the car is almost 3yrs old and just hit 23k this morning
I know someone will say its under warranty take it to the dealer but i just want some input on this

Not to be "that guy" or anything, but it is warrantied. I'd say call the dealer before you go in so they can just order you the new power steering motor and call you when it's in.

my main question is...do you think its a coincidence that it happened right after it was lowered???
i know there was a recall and it is warranteed, like i said i work at a dealer...but when they ran my vin before it showed that there were no open campaigns//recalls on my car

every cobalt should be recalled if im correct? may be wrong. really not anything to worry about anyways, not too hard to drive without powersteering. highly doubt it has to do with lowering
those bastards haha. if anything pops up then il take it, right now im fine.
