Since its still the stock oil its Mobile 1 synthetic. Synthetic is good till 5,000 miles. But also since you are braking in the engine still i would change the oil early with the same type oil.

Right now or at 3000. I've never trusted those oil percentace meter thingies. Do you have an SS/SC?

synthetics are good till 5000 miles. and yes your % meter will still say you have like 30% left when you get to 5000. the meters are dead wrong for our cars

I let mine run down to about 33% before I get it changed... you could go as low as 25% if you wanted to... but I wouldn't go any lower than that.

Just get in the habit of changing it at 3000 miles or 5000 kms,On my SS-SC the oil at 5000 kms is already pretty black and the meter is reading around 56 %.
I change it myself and get the mobil 1 when its on sale and buy three jugs so I am good for 2 oil changes.
The SS-SC runs really rich and I think the oil gets contaminated Quicker then the meter is set for.
I recommend sticking with the oem filter as well,I used the Napa and this is what happend
