Intake air temp reading -40°

Ive been getting codes P0171 (system too lean) and P0113 (intake air temperature circuit 1 high). When I look at the freeze frame (cause by P0171) I see that my Iat sensor is reading that the air is -40°. I understand that this sensor is part of the MAF? Is that right? This is also after I put on a new MAF. Before the new MAF I was only getting the too lean code, now I'm getting the too lean code along with the IAT circuit temp code. Any suggestions on what I should try to make it go away?
Thanks.

See if it's the circuit or the maf itself.

What would be the best way to do that?

I checked the MAF harness the far right prong was reading 5.02 v and the far left was 12 ish v the middle 3 went reading anything. I don't know anything about electrical so I'm completely lost here.

you most likely have an open in the IAT circuit, find out which wire on your maf is iat and trace it back through the harness.

yes, an open circuit, pinched wire, bent pin in maf connector or pcm connector
