So I bought an interceptor from a user on here, and it isn't working properly. Sometimes it takes anywhere from 15-45 minutes to display anything, and sometimes it just doesn't work at all. I saw there was a problem with some of the gauges and the 06 balts (whuddya know thats what I have), but was a solution ever found?

Since I bought it used I fear I'm stuck with a defective gauge

If anyone knows anything I would appreciate the help!!!

my display sometimes goes blank as well, kind of dims out. check your power source.

 

The power source is fine, i have it spliced into the pink wire to the boost gauge and the boost gauge operates fine. The interceptor has to be getting power

 

Are you using the extra power wire?

 

try hooking it up to a different power source.

Is the jumper still attatched? I know you have to take that off if you tap it to power.

 

What extra power wire? I'm using the red wire from the 3wire mini-connector. It works sometimes, it just takes forever to start up, wouldn't that indicate that its getting enough power?

And I'm clueless then, maybe you dont have a good connection where you tapped it?

 

Could you take a pic of how yours is wired. I'll take a vid of what it does on startup in a minute.

 

I bought one like this and ended up sending it back, it was where the small harness hooked into the back of the gauge, I got it working for a while by using a little electrical tape to hold it the way I needed. Since I got it through eBay I got my money back though. I have a three pillar with three interceptors all working good now though.
