Issues with boost/performance

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I'm having a hell of a time. Any help would be great.

I have a '06 Cobalt SS SC, and about 8 months ago, I had accidentally redlined the car and it just shut down on me. After a few tries, I finally got it started and drove it home, babying it of course, with the CEL on.
I got home, shut off the car, then started it again, and the CEL was gone. I ran a diagnostics on it and it said Crankshaft Sensor. So, I cleared it, ran it again, and nothing. The only thing at that point, was I felt like my exhaust sound wasn't as loud as it was when I bought it.

Nobody could tell me what it was, so I kept driving as if it was okay. After a while, I noticed I was losing more and more power while driving. I recently replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, resonator(replaced with straight pipe), cleaned MAF, put in k&n filter.

The sound still hasn't come back, and I also noticed recently that my boost is gone. My tack meter shows psi, but you definitely don't feel anything. It's almost like it's all engine. GM says the supercharger works, nothing wrong with exhaust. They do recommend reflashing the control module to new calibrations though. Could that be it? Is my car not letting the supercharger boost, yet still reading it through the sensor?

I'm lost, and need help. I used to love my car, but now it's frustrating to drive.

Stock cat? Did you replace the crank position sensor? You won't have any boost if the engine doesn't know where the crank is for ignition timing under boost

I'm not sure about the cat, because I bought the car used at 56,000. It seems fine though. We disconnected it from the exhaust and it sounded beautiful blowing through the cat.
I haven't replaced the crank position sensor because I didn't think it was truly bad if the code didn't come up. Guess I should then regardless?

What psi is your boost gauge reading?

What it does is it'll get up to about 12 psi (it's stock, no stage kits) and then quickly drop into vacuum. Hell, in first gear alone it won't even show any boost.
