Keep blowing fan fuse

My fuse for my cooling fan has blown twice in the last 2 weeks, any ideas, this is the fuse that makes the fan come on when the AC is turned on. Also my fan will not start at all if unless the air is on, Car was getting very hot in traffic this weekend

2007 Cobalt SS/SC

Thanks

Spin the fan by hand and see if it spins freely and not rough, Fan will use the most amperage when it's initially turned on that's likely when the fuse will blow, chances are you need a new electric fan, they can still work even if they are faulty.
Check the amperage draw on the fan with a meter big enough you won't blow the fuse in meter
How hot are we talking?

thanks

250 +, turned on the heater and rolled down the windows, to get it to cool down until I got moving again. I watch it close because of the fan issues, I'll check the fan tomorrow and let you know. At what temp should the fan be kicking on without the AC on?

They should start at a lower speed around 205-210, I think 220-225 is full speed.

It is possible that the fan can feel fine but still be your issue, I have a big analog amp meter I use when I check fan draw, the initial start up will have the highest amperage spike because it's starting the fan from a stop, this is what will usually blow the fuse.. and then the amperage will come down because it requires less power to keep an already spinning fan spinning..
If your daughters g5 has the same fan swap them and if her fuse blows problem solved :P
