License plate light HELP!!!

ok so i got pulled over for haveing my rear license plate light out a couple nights ago as i was leaving work i didnt get a ticket he just told me nicely to get it taken care of and well the town i work in has about 3 cops lol so it wont be long before we cross paths again
so i went to take the bulb out today and i am completely dumbfounded on how to get the bulb out i tried to give it a twist and the glass it self broke on me so now im probably worse off then before lol
so if anyone knows how to get the bulb at and where to get a replacement that would be awesome

the glass is just a viewer type thing if you look behind the plate the light is in a harness twist the harness and it comes out and you pull the bulb out and change it and twist it back in....

twist meaning same way as your headlight harness turn signal bulbs its on the same kind of harness.
