limp mode?

06 Cobalt SS Stage 2 setup, catless down pipe, Injen intake. Currently getting 4 psi of boost.

Codes it triggers are P0101 & P1182 but the CEL goes off. Its saved in the ECU as a history code. Seems to trigger CEL under boost.

I smoke tested the intake system from the TB at 10psi and got no leaks. I also cleaned the TB. I reset the ECU and still goes into limp mode it seems but no CEL under normal driving conditions.

The only thing I can think of is the tune that was half assed on the car, it was never finished. Could this be directly related to the bad tune and all it needs is a retune? Or could it be something else?

P0101 and P1182 would be a MAF so either cleaning or changing out the MAF and clean the air filter would be where I would start. Also check and make sure. Also make sure the rubber hose from the intake is seated correctly on the TB.

Also theres a sensor on top of the supercharger right next to the throttle body but on the inlet. Take that off and clean it. If cleaning doesn't work then he needs a new one

And Im going to leave this here

Do you know what youre talking about??? Arent these speed density cars meaning MAP/IAT?

There is no issues with the rubber hose or filter. Simple things like that have been checked.

The sensor on top of the supercharger is the MAP sensor I believe. I have inspected it and no visual issues. I will try and clean it though, but dont see it doing much good considering voltage is within spec but will try it as a hopeful thought. So if voltage is within spec, and I tried cleaning it, do i still follow your advice and replace it even though its working fine?

And your link sucks because its pertaining to people who are having issues with there car months, sometimes years after a tune. Limp mode has existed since his "tune" via a narrowband sensor. Its slowly got lower and lower and lower on power and now its locked in full limp mode. No active or current CEL, only ones in history that come and go from time to time. I have gone through this car with everything I can and will go back through it tomorrow and check everything. Most people here dont have a full shop, access to alldata, smoke machines, diag equipment etc. I do. I have done all I have possibly could and thats why I am here posting the codes, symptoms and mods pertaining to my issue. All point towards the tune but im trying to figure out the issue before a tuner gets it and says its not the tune. If its in fact the tune that is doing this then that would be good news. The tune that was put in it was a "power reduction tune" because the car had an IAT issue at the time of tuning for stage 2.

Please guys if your going to respond, have a clue. Im trying to find things it could be before we tune it. In my eyes its not ready to be tuned because of limp mode but its looking like the tune itself is what is causing this. Ideas?

IAT2 hangs around 90-100 degrees

Sensor on top of the blower is the SCIP sensor. MAP is above the oil filter, I think.
P0101 could be from the intake itself too, if not tuned for correctly. Just start with inspecting the MAF and cleaning it along with the air filter, as suggested.

Just flash a stock tune and and go from there.

Ever since intake install, it was an issue like twice a year. Ever since the "tune" the issue has been permanent.

These cars dont have MAF sensors so I do I clean it? Unless its somewhere I cant find.

These cars do have MAF sensors.. They plug into the intake by the filter.
If all else fails, get your tuner to disable the code or go back to stock.
I think a lot of those 1st gen Injen intakes caused some problems.
