Limp mode, cold air, retarded...

WHEN its <40 degrees out like it has been the last few nights, and I punch it and go near 7000K I get p0103 CEL codes that I believe deal with intake. it doesnt make a CEL, it just logs it under my interceptor even though my CEL light doesnt come on.

Also when its really cold my REV LIMITER kicks in @6500K instead of 7000K. This is the really anoying part. As once it hits limiter 500 RPMS beofore its supose to my car jumps into LIMP mode, and my shifts are real boggy, and I have to shut my car off and then turn it back on to get it to go away.

Does this mean my A/F is fubar'd? Do I need to go get my **** tuned to keep this from happening? Let me know, cause if so I will get my car tuned ASAP.

Durring the days, like now, it drives fine and rev limiter is 7000K, its only when its cold

or.... just don't get on it hard when it's cold...

as we all know... cold air is denser than warm air... so when it's 30 degrees out... the air is a lot more dense... so, yes... the car will run leaner.

the problem is your MAF frequency. You have to get it retuned since your MAF frequency is not tuned for cold or for 7k rpm. You need to raise it so 1300000 it should be abot 1200000 right now.

Ice? Can you describe that one for me? Cause like you would need water to cause ice right? And it hasnt rained recently and has been pretty dry, so I assume Ice is not an issue for me right now. IM just saying when I come home from work and that 6.0 GTO pulls up next to me and my rev limiter kicks in ***** early and I go into limp mode is not kool.

My question is would a tune fix that issue? If I took my car to tune time, would they be able to up my MAF Frequency w/ HP Tuners, and even out my A/F ratio? Or would I still risk the same problems even after a tune?

ok well maybe there's no ice, i've been trying to slow my driving down cause i know winter is coming soon, anyway, with that list of mods you have im surprised you have not already had a tune, a tune might be able to lift the "limp mode" but i do beleive your engine comp is doing this to prevent some sort of damage,

someone correct me if im wrong
