LNF: Dancing Gauges
Occasionally, after i've pulled my key from the ignition, every gauge drops to '0' or whatever you want to call it, but sometimes, in unison, they all move up and down repeatedly a few times, all have the same amount of rotation and start/stop at the same time.
Also, occasionally my keyfob won't work...it is random, i don't do anything else and it works again, so i dunno, kinda weird.

My gauges do the same thing once in awhile. No clue why. As for they key fob, ever try a new battery? Or I've read about something breaking in the fob and needing soldering. If you have a spare one try using it for a bit and see what happens.
Yep gauges are totally normal although it is strange to see the first time and colemart is probably right about the key fob. Mine went through the laundry before and broke a few connections. Once they were fixed it worked perfectly again
Its probably got a worn out button. Mine started not working at random and now just doesnt work at all. I poped it open once and the button contacts were totaly trashed.
My car does as well.
Rice. you talking about the Pontiac when the gauges would go all the way pegged and come back? that freaked me out the first time i saw that. thought the motor was taking off.

That happens too, totally normal. Freaked me out a couple times cause I'd glance at the cluster for a sec and catch them all around 50% and see movement to the left but when I looked again they were resting on zero twitching lol
The key fob issue is actually the battery holder has a loose connection to the IC board inside the fob. It's a super easy fix, simply open up the fob (you'll see a slot on the side in the middle where the 2 halves meet) with a small flat screwdriver, and you'll see the metal prong thingy holding the battery in place and there will be 2 areas where it's suppose to be soldered into the IC board that's most likely come loose, simply just solder it back into place and your fob will work just like new.
I have repaired many Key fobs by simply cleaning the circuits inside, using some flux and cleaning any corrosion and reflowing the board if required, it works every time. A simple cleaning of the circuits goes a long way.
