lnf no start rapid flashing cel, power steering message
lnf no start rapid flashing cel, power steering message
One last try for help before i bring it in to get it checked out, car is not cranking the cel flashes rapidly and i get a power steering message also a buzzing noise when i turn the ignition on even before trying to start the car. Other problem i have is i cant get a connection to the ecm to see if i have any codes
I'd have to say the PCM is probably bad, I've always associated the power steering message with bad PCM's and the lack of communication kinda says it all. Unless the obd fuse is blow but I doubt it with the other symptoms that are occurring

What kind of scanner are you using?
You may want to identify which module is knocking out communication.
(find and remove splicepack and jumper back in one module at a time.)
Once identified you should then check for power and grounds to module in question. If you don't find an issue there visually inspect the connections, make sure all pins are in place. none bent pushed out corrosion ect...
Also you should check the powers and grounds with a headlight. And i also recommend at least a powerprobe 3.

This happened to me after changing my clutch, the ecu made a high pitch whine noise and power steering showed on the DIC. Pretty sure its going to be a bad connection on the ECU, my odb2 scanner wouldn't connect to the ECU either, which leads me to believe this is also your issue.
unhook the negative terminal on the battery, remove the ecu and reconnect it, making sure the connections are solid and there isn't any funk or dirt or anything on the connectors.
i just noticed this post is pretty old, sure he has it fixed by now.

well the car died on me while i was out and wouldn't crank or anything then i changed the sensor, now its cranking but not starting and i have that code so I am wondering if by some stupid chance i didn't push the sensor in enough or something it was a bitch installing it because it was almost impossible to get to so its definitely a possibility its just been way to cold to work on the car so i haven't done anything lately
