Exclamation LOOK!! header/CEL question

so i have a full exhaust set up...i have Cobalt Addiction V2 header, vibrant downpipe with high flow cat, twin race mufflers....after i installed the set up, i got a CEL (check engine light). i bought a code reader and it read 0420.. i clear the code, but it comes up every day or two.my question......i put header wrap on...did it right and didn't allow too much over-wrap...do you think the wrap is why the code keeps appearing even thoug i have a cat... any suggestions???

thanks

no, the high flow cat throws the code. I have the issue on my car too.

Get a CEL eliminator or turn it off in HP tuners. Or do what I do and ignore it

why? should there have been a problem.. they had a deal around christmas and i had to buy...everything matches up fine. The V2 header is a "shortty" and the vibrant d/p is kinda long..connects to stock resonator perfectly

what kind of "eliminator"? i tried the one from ARK and it didn't work. the spacer is too big and it wont allow the O2 sensor to go on cuz it hits the frame rail...no go. i got a spark plug non fouler and tried it..still get the code.

The Vibrant downpipe is shorter then a regular downpipe.

high flow cat = CEL

If nothing else has worked you will have to turn it off with HPTuners.

the po420 is for low catalyst efficiency or something similar to that. it's because of the hi flow cat. very common.
