Looked like an ass..help me out plz

Went into my dealership to get some problems fixed today. My sunroof switch is leaning/collapsing. Ok.. no prob he says. I asked him why my A/C-Heater still blows a bit of air when off.. he smirked and said that was normal (doh!!). Then I asked him about a certain noise I was hearing (high pitch metallic sound from engine at idle) Still with a smirk..he asked If I've ever driven a overhead cam car before. I said no. He then replied that was normal. Uggh. I think I just screwed myself

First - Just searching a little on here I would have found out that the air circulation is normal. Not to mention If I payed attention in my girlfriends 06 Balt I could have saved myself the embarrasment.

Second - IS that noise normal on a 2.4? Like I stated before, High pitch metallicy sound. Very soft to the ears- only loud enough to hear at idle. Almost like the pullies need a lil WD-40.

Taking my car in on Monday. Arm me with some knowledge guys. I feel like I handed them the golden ticket. ---->[Me] - My wheel just fell off. [Dealership] - Have you ever driven a front wheel drive car before? [Me] - No. [Dealer]- Oh..Thats normal.

The air still blows when off. The metallic noise seems normal enough. The switch - needs fixing. Next time he laughs at you, just ask him why he finds it's OK to laugh at customers who can easily go to another dealership and mention his behavior to the GM customer service line. Then ask if the shop manager is around so he can share the laughs.

Yea, I got the same problem with my sunroof and the air vent is a normal thing... Though I have not heard the metallic clinging... but the music might be up too loud on a normal basis... that and I am deaf as hell... Ill listen to mine later to see if I can hear anything

He didn't laugh. Just a held in a "ok stoopid" reply. Then again maybe my paranoia set in. Not fun looking dumb when all the salesmen are huddled in like a NFL pregame show. Last time I'll be the early bird at a dealership. I'm pretty sure he was the big dog 2. Can't blame him. Wouldn't you act the same if let's say..you worked at best buy and someone asked where the VHS movies are at? Yeah.. bad analogy.. I work third shift and its way past my bedtime.

Dude, I'd still be pissed if someone made me feel like crap or dumb. thats bad relations. He shoulda explained it without making you feel that way. You should walk in and say something. Maybe you'll get a few free oil changes out of it

Glad to see we have the same sunroof probs . I suddenly felt.. well..."connected" to u. Then the no metallic sound comment put it all to sh$t. JK Thanx 4 the quick replies guys. I feel so important. Hell.. on another car site I used to belong to.. this thread would have been ignored for many a day. I really like it here. Any one want to trade 18's for my 17's straight up? 1200 miles on them and cherry. I might even toss in my girl to 4 the weekend :P

You only know half the story..I originally went in there in person because I received a letter from GMAC saying my loan was denied. I was waiting for payment instructions and instead got a letter saying my ownership of my car was illegitamate??!! <--(SP?) Owned the car for three weeks (1500 miles) and they want it back? You can't imagine the things I thought of when I was at work..just drive to mexico..use it as a bumper car.. Or see if this thing could make it across the delaware river. It ended up being a mistake but...Come on GMAC get your act together. Actually my girl pointed out that maybe I should try to snag the vette they had 4 the weekend. You know.. for scientific purposes Or to reverse the pain and suffering for those 8 hours.

LOL, the sunroof is a pain in the ass. Ive adjusted it to try and keep out the whistle, helped a little. I pressed the switch one day and it didnt work, then the ring around the side fell off, and now it pushes up into the roof. I am gonna get it fixed next time I go in, I am just about to hit 20k on the car, so I am gonna bring it to the dealer for the oil change and get a tune up, have them check everything out... just normal 20k stuff.

If you hit the spell check button you will see that it is spelled "recirculation"...
