Losing boost and power like crazy!! I need help!!

So I'm having a problem with my car at idle and WOT. I normally run 16.5psi at WOT and I am only pushing between 4-5psi at the moment. At idle I'm leaning out and misfiring randomly on all cylinders. I changed the MAP Sensor because it was faulty and it didn't fix the problem. I changed the bypass valve hoses and its not leaking from there. Idk what it could be. Any ideas?

Well lets start with engine model, miles, and mods.

The code was a P0300 and the one for the MAP sensor. So I replaced the MAP sensor and reset the battery. After that, I changed the vacuum lines that I could see & nothing changed. The problem still remains.....

Check your sc. Make sure its bolted down to the right torque spec and that the gasket is good.

If you took off the intake manifold check it to.

The maf will need to be rescaled in the tune file with the new intake, so your wot fueling is likely all sort of off at the moment.

What intake did you install?

Its just a regular intake with a K&N filter

Regular as in stock? Also you might try cleaning the maf there is a chance some of the oil is on the maf wire

No its aftermarket but its just losing alot of power between 3500rpm-5800rpm. But at 6000rpm it pivks power back up again.

Can't be the bypass valve because i would have had problems with it before i changed the intake.

Why did you install a cold air intake when your car was having issues to begin with?? Or did u fix your original problem?

I hope it isnt one of those $50 ebay intakes when you say "regular" cold air intake....

Issues with boost usually stem towards the boost bypass valve and actuator, or a vacuum leak of some sort.

Check them out.

If you read further up you'll see that I am not having that issue any more. I changed the boost pressure solenoid and it fixed my problem.

NOW, my problem is I have no power at WOT ever since i put on the aftermarket intake. The car sputters and boggs down.

Could the MAF sensor being backwards cause this issue? Or does it not matter which way it sits in the intake?

Yes, an incorrectly installed MAf sensor can cause that, but u should get a code from it.

Check it, and see if thats your issue.

Also, check for vacuum leakes around the intake, throttle body, and blower.

You can't install the maf backwards unless you install the whole pipe backwards. Only screws in one way.

It's happened in the past to people on here....

Even though there is an arrow on the sensor pointing in the direction of flow.

Alright guys I took the mass air flow sensor off and put it the correct way and also clean it. Reset the battery so the check engine light would clear, but the car is still losing power at WOT.

Any ideas?
