loss of power

so i notice when it rains hard and into the day after my car will start to sputter around 3000 rpm in every gear. acts like it is not getting any fuel because when it does this there are times when i can push the pedal to the floor and it sounds like the car has cut off but it hasnt, or the car will start jerking violently. if someone can give me something to go off of that would be great.... it hasnt rained in a few days so i cant check right away but i can next time it pours!!!!

Out of curiousity, do you have aftermarket dp too? What may be happening is your O2 sensor is getting water up in it and doesn't work properly and then is throwing off your AFRs...

That's why all the aftermarket DPs later used O2 sensor angles that angle down, to keep water from getting and sitting in there.

For the MAF: The first connection to your intake after the air box. (Not sure how different from the LNF the placement is though)

For the 02 sensor: Usually right before the downpipe meets the rest of the exhaust system, about halfway down the car.

I think these downpipes are similar to yours. See the hole in the side of them? The O2 sensor screws into the side of them there. It may look a bit different if you've got an aftermarket downpipe of some other kind on there.

The "left" end of these goes to your engine and the "right" end goes to the rest of your exhaust system as it goes to the end of your car.
