Loss of power with A/C on...

i drive a 2007 LS manual. whenever i have the air on it feels like i lose power. it takes longer to get my RPMs up and when i shift, the clutch/gas pedal timing is different. i know running A/C will decrease power but i also know it shouldnt be this bad. anyone else with this problem, heard of it, any ideas? please help me out here

more than likely its normal but you could try cleaning your TB. JUST DONT OPERATE THE BUTTERFLY VALVE!

Perform some routine maintenance and it should help out (New spark plugs, clean the TB, new air filter).

I've done all three within the last 2 months, and made the mistake of moving the butterfly, so I even got the ECU reflashed at the dealership, and none if it helped

mine doesent do it that bad, but I do notice a low humming sound recently now. if I have the AC on high i dont hear it, but when i turn the fan to 1 setting i hear it. When I turn the AC off, it goes away. This just started happening this summer, think maybey my AC clutch is starting to go or something?

sounds normal to me. AC robs power for sure and not just a couple. Your ac pump could be going out too. Maybe a bad bearing in the compressor or something idk

my interceptor shows -21 vacuum at idle.

when i turn the ac on it drops to -16, and the engine load jumps up between 10 and 15%

pretty significant if you ask me

We are all acting like these cars produce a lot of power anyway.

Noticed that even in the 2.4. Hated the extra revs needed to get going and the bogging, so I rarely used my AC.

Maintain steady throttle on a open stretch of road. Then, turn off the A/C. Its like getting a shot of NOS.
