lost acceration
lost acceration
Ok so i just got my car back from the shop because of a bad fuel pump. But as they where trying to fix that and find out what was actually wrong(because they didnt know it was the fuel pump at first) they had done a whole lot of stuff. Including reflashing the computer, changing a bunch of sensors and a bunch of random things.
Well now i got the car back and it is driving really differant. The car does not accerate the same and when you are crusing on the hwy at about 65 mph the rpms sit aroun 3100 when they used to sit at about 2000. also when ever you go to hit the gas the car just doesnt want to go like it used to.
If anybody could help me with why its doing this it would be great. Like i said in general the car just seems like the rpms are way higher then they used to be. And my gas milage has gone way down. the car is just really differnt now and i really dont think this could be just because of a new feul pump.
Please help!!!
Nobody?

If you are at 3100 rpm at 65 mph then the car isn't shifting into the last gear. Sounds like they didn't flash the car correctly or they used the wrong flash. Could be that the transmission is now messed up.
Trans is in limp mode - it starts out in third gear (shitty acceleration) and stays in third gear (high revs when cruising and bad mileage).
The tech may not have gotten everything (sensors and such) plugged back in or, like rnjmur said, they may have loaded the wrong flash. I would be taking it back to them - they screwed something up, let them fix it at their expense.

If it just started doing that AFTER you picked it up from the shop,
the its possible some one at the shop had your car for a lil test drive,
and burnt out your clutch.
Wait, is this a manual or automatic? If its a manual then ya, your clutch is toast, if your an automatic, check your tranny fluid.
