Low Coolant with full coolant...

The other day my car read low coolant, so i filled it up.. it was actually empty..
Car was fine for the rest of the day..

Today, I start my car up, and my low coolant thing came on soooo I went to fill it up, just assuming it's a leak and i'd try to find it, and i started filling it up and there was like none gone. Like I still had al my coolant.

Started car back up, and the low coolant light was on for about 30-45 seconds and then went away..
Driving it down the highway and the light comes on for a good 15-20 seconds and goes away..
Got home, went to fill it up, and it's full...

My guess is just a bad coolant sensor or something along those lines....

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Add a we bit more, the switch seems to be tempermental.
But I would be concerned about it being empty when it first came on.

if it was low enough then air got into the system and needs to be bled.

air goes across the sensor and it thinks its low

i really dont think so...needs to be bled since the cooling system is a pressurized system

(i think this is how to do it)

follow your big coolant hose on top to the engine...there should be a screw type deal to open

thats also where your thermostat is too
