True story: car died in traffic today on the drive home from work. I accelerated in 1st gear and the engine just shuts off. I was sitting in the right lane (no shoulder) with the flashers on for five ******* minutes trying to restart this piece of **** car. Once it did decide to stay running I noticed the r p m gauge was stuck at zero. Once that kicked back in its like nothing ever happened.

Anyone ever have this happen? Every day it's something new with this horrible piece of machinery.

 

I saw a recall for this the other day, maybe I can find the thread.

I wonder if it's related to the recall. What bothers me is the sputtering and misfiring when I tried to restart it. Either way I really don't need this happening again. It's pretty embarrassing.

 

Get the recall fix done anyway

 

By chance did you tune right before this?

 

mine has died once or twice when doing a 1st gear punch. very embarrassing and besides perhaps the recall i have no clue why it happened

Nah, it was tuned years ago when the gm stage 2 kit was done.

 

That's exactly what happened. I got on it in first and then boom, engine cuts out.

I think the gauges shut off now that I think of it. Maybe it was the switch lol
