I need to find out my options cause I have two issues with my head.
1. Coolant leak from striped treads
2. Small Oil build up above spark plug two caused by retreading of the head
I need a new head. What is the recommended? replacement head

Look up clearwater cylinder heads. They are a company in florida that remanufactures heads. You can buy a fully assembled head from them for less than you can buy a brand new bare head and they offer a warranty with it.

 

Helicoil the striped threads.
Replace the O'Ring for the #2 sparkplug hole on your Valve Cover Gasket.

 

Question: Is the helicoil a temporary fix or permanent?

 

Helicoil is a good permant fix yes, as far as I know. I had to put one in my transmition pan of my old dodge several years ago.

Wich thread is damaged/stripped?

 

Not too sure. My mechanic told me the second head. Spark plug wouldn't screw on tight. He told me its fixed, with a helicoil, but that I'm gonna have to replace the head soon.

 

Don't know why youd have to replace the head soon, maybe it has other issues or other issues are devoloping with it. How did the second spark plug hole get stripped in the first place? Did some one overtorque a spark plug?

 

Yup!! Someone over torqued the spark plug, and the other day I guess it finally gave up and came out. No damage though.
