Magnuson Moss Act?
Ok...I know this is the Cobalt forum, but I'm just curious to see if anyone else has had similar situations.
So here's the deal: we bought my 2010 HHR SS "used" with 1500 miles in Dec 2010...since I have had her, a pinch over a year, I have had warranty work for a cracked intake pipe, multiple broken TPMS, a bad battery, codes that read that ALL of my pistons were mis-firing, "funny noises" coming from the turbo at spool up, annnnnd currently, she is undriveable due to a busted head gasket that came from God-knows-where. I now have 21000 miles and gettin' pretty pissed off to keep bringing it in even couple thousand miles.
I spoke very briefly to an attorney who deals with vehicular cases such as lemon law, she thinks I definitely have a case.
My question is, has anyone on here dealt with anything similar?? How is this going to work? I don't want to just rely on some random attorney to take care of my precious car...I feel like I'm pretty much up a creek at this point...any advice?

To consider it a lemon i believe that it has to go in for the same thing multiple times. (i dont think TPMS sensors count). I had the same issues with mine. I kept bringing it to the dealer and everytime it was something else. So as soon as my warranty was up the car was gone. Its someone elses headache now.
And magnuson moss is if a dealer doesnt wanna fix a car due to aftermarket parts they have to prove it was that part which caused whatever it is that broke

I was going to post a new thread about this, but may as well do it here.
Anyone ever been successful in getting their Cobalt swapped out for something else through the lemon law because the front suspension is so sh*ty? Mine was toast when I bought the car, had all of the front suspension replaced, and now less than 10,000 miles later it's acting up again.

It is a base model, no idea on the bushings. It had the shocks, sway bushings and sway links all replaced when I bought it because everything was shot. Now it's acting like the shocks aren't working correctly when going over small repetitive bumps, also making a bunch of racket. All the research I have done seems to show that the front suspension on these cars is trash and a lot of people have issues with it.
I spoke with the attorney again and she is positive that I have a case for all this crap. So, I think we are just going to go along with her...I mean, it's not like I can really do any more damage to the car, and the legel representation is free whether we win or lose. Might as well.
