never worked with the SAI system, but it does sound like it may definately be the maf sensor. lotta cobalt owners in california though, might be able to get someone to lend you there maf sensor for a few minutes to see if it fixes your problem. also check the maf sensor voltage, should be 0-5v.

that was for leaking fuel pump canisters, another common fuel problem is also the evap canister.

yeah as i think i mentioned in my OP i had that exact recall done on my cobalt as it was leaking fuel from the canister, but they did replace it already along with installing a new fuel filter. gonna be making a visit to fonzi this weekend to pick up his MAF, SAI pump and DP this weekend so we'll see how it goes and i'll post back with the results.

hey all, just reporting back to you guys with my results like i said i would. well after throwing on 2 out of 3 of the parts that fonzi sold to me the last one seemed to do just what i was hoping it would and low and behold it was the DP with the cats on it that was causing the issue. Cobalt is back to normal and actually is running even better than before anything went wrong with it, alot more responsive and feels like i may have picked up a few extra HP anyway many thanks go out to fonzi for all the parts that he sold to me and hopefully by the time the next meet comes up i'll be able to be finished with my body kit and have her ready to show off to you guys again thanks everyone for all the input i'll never forget it.

yeah it was, just kinda weird though cause when i checked out the cat myself along with my dad it didnt look like it had any blockage going on, but as fonzi suggested to me when i talked to him in person it may have been a partial clog.
