Map sensor

Acouple weeks ago I helped my friend sc his 09 lt, had a couple of problems at first but now it runs. Now during the build he acciently broke the map sensor on the lt trying to put it on the lsj mani. The lsj mani already had a 1 bar but the pigtail wouldn't fit so he's basically driving around without having the map sensor connected And some how it runs.i advised him to get one ASAP epically since he's going wot and we can't really see the air fuel ratios either because he decided to get a narrow band, thing is bouncing up and down like crazy. He's trifecta tune and he said he didn't need the map sensor cOnnected because he said Vince tunes the map sensor to read the maf.idk how tht works anybody care to comment on this?

Most tunes arent speed density (using MAP) most are MAF ONLY.

But i would get one too soon. Get the 2.5 bar thats stock on the LSJ and wire it up.

Well on my 06 ls sc if I unplugged the map sensor the car would idle really bad, I just don't
my bud to blow his motor from running to lean or something because like I said he has a narrow band so
We can't really tell how rich or lean he's running

I'd tell your buddy to stop driving the car until he has a wideband and a working map sensor and suggest he switch to hpt because trifecta tunes are so inferior to a good hpt
