Hey guys, melted the piston in my 3rd cylinder and scored the walls. Stealership quoted me 6k to get a new engine. My uncle is a big gearhead who drag races for his shop... he's going to be picking the balt up from the dealership this saturday. Lookin to get some forged pistons since I'm going to need some anyway... what compression ratio should I shoot for and are there any whp gains with aftermarket pistons or is it just the peace of mind knowing that you can handle more horsepower?

Mods are in sig. Not very good when it comes to working on my car internals wise but I will be learning A LOT under my uncles supervision. I might as well pick up some other mods for the balt while I'm doing all this tinkering.. ideas?
