i looked under my car and my gas tank is leaking what do i do? or can i tighten the tube that runs to it.. plz help ASAP

 

Take it to get fixed I had this problem before started leaking small then started leaking really bad where I would be parked and lose a quarter tank of gas in 4 hours. It was the fuel pump that I had to get replaced.

I went and got the stock pump but I should have gone with an aftermarket. Cost about 350$ with labor but if you still have the warreny take it to the dealer. There was a warreny extension on the 05-07 cobalts for the fuel pump to 150,000 miles I believe. But it may work for the newer cobalts.

 

bump i tightened some pipe under the car and it stopped now its leaking again

 

i mean it was a while back and started again

 

What year is your cobalt?
