National Backorder!!!!!!!!
National Backorder!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it but it's true! I have a problem with loosing coolant for my supercharger. I work at the Chevy dealer so I bring it in for them to look at it. They take my supercharger off and look at the laminova coils and find that it is leaking into my intake manifold! It's covered under warranty but only one problem, It's on national back order and they have no expected time for it to be back in stock! So now I have to drive my car and keep checking to make sure that I don't run out of coolant. Anyone else have this isue??

you can drive the car because it only leaks under vaccum not boost. I was thinking about asking them to install the ss t/c intercooler instead of the ss s/c
i dont really understand your issue...there is no intercooler underneath the supercharger, there are laminova cores inside the intake manifold, that is where the coolant passes through. and then how would the coolant travel from there to the exhaust manifold unless the car is just burning it? and the ss/tc has an air/air intercooler setup. us SC's has air/water so there is no way they could put the one off of the SS/TC
i have never heard of that issue with this car, look for one on sale here. im pretty sure a couple people have them for sale though. there isnt a way to bypass that system
can't get a used one, that means I would have to pay for one and mine is already going to be paid for under warranty. so the front intercooler that people get from mustangs and from cobalt-addiction are a replacement of the one we have???
no, think of the system like this. lets start at the filler neck in front of the SC, from there a hose travels down to the intercooler pump, from there it goes to the stock front mounted heat exchanger, from there it goes to the endplate and through the laminova cores(which is most likely your leak from what your saying), then back to the filler neck in front of the SC. an aftermarket intercooler(heat exchanger) is just placed in between the intercooler pump and the stock front mounted heat exchanger. so an aftermarket heat exchanger will not fix your issue
i just like to make sure, so he doesn't come back looking for you saying, you said I could drive my car without the intercooler system, I was driving around town in traffic, or I was racing this guy, and my engine flew out of the compartment, and it was on fire.
btw yes I know that is a complete dramatization and wouldn't actually happen like that.
