What engine do you have 2.0 sc/tc? 2.2? 2.4?

ever think it could be a bad coil? maybe one of the new one you put in was defective... things like that happen

were you having the misfire before the coil and plug change?

what kind of plugs did you put and what engine is it

Check out the main wires for the coil there could be a short where they might of wore through some where(the wires for cyl 2 for sure all the way back to the pcm)

Try moving the injectors to a different cylinder to eliminate them.(1 to2,2 to 3,3 to 4 and 4 to 1)
If the mis fire stays on cylinder 2 then you can eliminate them as the cause.

If you have a 2.0 you could do the same with the coils as well but dont do both at the same time.

I think it is direct injected and to change them is a big job,Thats why the dealer is avoiding it.

Seems that might be what it is since its specific to cyl 2 unless theres something wrong with the rings.
