So tonight my E-brake decided to give me a headache by not releasing all the way and hanging somehow. So I'm driving normally, and for some reason the car slows down alot faster than usual. Then the noise comes that sounds like a flat, so I pull over and my rear rotors are bright red and smoke is coming off my pads. I don't know how, but the cable has no play in it at all, the brake handle will go down but the cable just won't release like it's suppose too.


Someone help me asap....please, I tried tugging on the cable under the car, but it wouldn't budge.

 

Probably water froze in the cable or it rusted it self in one spot. You can try spraying some WD40 down the cable to loosen it up.
