Need Help With Cooling System

I have a 06 cobalt SS supercharged with the 2.0. K i hit a cat on the way to work and it put my entire cooling system in a V shape lol. k well here is my problem, i bought the radiator and the condenser but their is this other radiator/intercooler type looking device connecting into the engine and its located between the radiator and the condenser. Ive looked everywhere for a name and info on it but came up with nothing. Any Ideas on what it is and where i could buy it??

its not a tranny cooler, ss/sc cars are all manual transmissions. what you are refering to is the intercooler heat exchanger. that will be something you can only get used from a wrecker or new from gm. if your going new, just head to gm and describe were its located and they can help you out.

the other option would be to leave it out and get an aftermarket heat exchanger.

You need whats called the aux radiator. I just had all mine replaced and it wasnt cheap!
you can look up a diagram of it on
gmpartsdirect.com look under cooling/radiator and components.
item number 9
Hope that helps.

If the h/e is busted just take it out and buy a bigger front mount from OTTP. Probably cheaper than an OEM replacement and a lot more effiecient.

Whats OTTP? I was looking at a CXRacing Heat Exchanger, but i wasnt for sure if it would be good enough for the car.

k after looking at a heat exchanger. it bolts infront of the condenser. wouldnt that mess up my A/C pump since it needs to be cooler so it can run at lower PSI? would it restrict the air flow or heat the air up and cause warm air to pass threw the condenser?
