Need Some Help... My Car is Weird

hey guys, ok so my RL is being a little bitch right now lol.. about a week or so ago my front right (pass) wheel (i think brake) started to make this god-awful sqeeking.. kind of like the wear indicitor sound on the brakes... but the thing is i wasnt on the brakes at all so i hit the brakes about half way and it got SOO LOUD it scared me a little i thought my caliper was gonna rip off an roll down the street lol.. but anywho i hit the brakes even harder and it went away... then i started going again and not a sound till about 5 mins later... and ever since then it has been doing that.. it cant be the wear indicator becuase it doesnt happen only when i hit the brakes and it stops when i push past the half way mark on the brakes.... i need help what do you think it is... do you think it is time from some drilled an slotted rotors?? lol

and i have another one.. when i turn my wheel esp pulling out of the parking lot at work or in the drive way (slow speeds i should say) i here a very disturbing clicking coming from what i have to belive to be the struts.. but it only does it when i turn its a clicking and clunking noise.. i dont feel any diffrence in turning or any normal activity and it only does it at low speed i.e like 5 mph.. now i heard soemthing about bad struts so i jacked my car abit to see if they were ticking an sure enough they were but not as loud... is there anyway to like oil the struts so they stop this lol... and like i said it only happens when i am going slow and not all the time...

my car is ****** weird...
thanks in advance guys!!

wheel bearings dont make that noise. wheel bearings make a growling noise at low, and high speeds, no ticking noise. My guess is that it is your upper strut bearing. if its when you turn and put a load on one side does it make that noise? like a left hand turn would make the noise on the right side? But if you happen to think it is your wheel bearings go into an EMPTY parking lot and do circles, listening for the noise on the (load) side. Another good way to tell is take your hub off and try to get some wheel bearing grease on your finger, if it looks "gritty" or like it has glitter in it. they yeah its your wheel bearings, and if so you HAVE to replace the entire hub, you cant take the wheel bearings out of our hub and get them back in and it work properly.

maybe sway bar bushings then.

and FYI, all, well most FWD cars you have to replace the hub WITH the wheel bearings.

another quick check for bearings is to jack the car up enough to get the wheel off the ground, grab the tire at the 12 and 6 o clock position. try and wiggle it back and forth by pushing and pulling with opposite hands. there should be no movement. then try it again at the 9 and 3 positions. also should be no movement. i havent looked in a while, but if these cars are equipped with ball joints then that could cause some issues like the ones you described as well. good luck

Brakes - take them off and see what you see - any gouging on the rotors? Anti-rattle clips still there? I have got awful sounding brakes but it's because there's no anti-rattle clips in right now. My new pads didn't have them and NO PLACE sells replacements, you have to buy new pads with them....and I don't feel like shelling out $65 for another set of Hawks JUST for the clips that may not be included again.
