new car question

whats up guys, im looking 2 buy a new cobalt and i found this 06 red ss with an SLP exhaust and iv already test drivin the car. It sounds and runs great but the guy said theres a dime size hole in the muffler housing from rust? I didnt bother 2 check but iv never seen that on a performance exhaust. If i were 2 buy the car would the hole make much of a difference in sound quality? or would i b better getting a new exhaust?

that being said im not sure if it will affect the sound right now but it will eventually... it may also raise a few questions with a mechanic during a safety inspection if they're ****... i'd just get it fixed so you don't have to worry about it again

Mufflers themselves arn't too expensive. Shouldn't be an expensive fix.
