Angry new halo proj. headlight install

okay, I was installing my new halo headlights and noticed that everything works except my high beams! On each headlight I twist together the 2 white wires and connected them to the brown wire. twist together the 2 black wires and connected them to the black wire. The halo wires were connected to the second set of brown and black (which makes no difference because my high beams do not work and has nothing to do with the halos) So why the hell don't my high beams work? there is bulbs in there.

update: I unlocked my car door and 1 highbeam came on. wtf, my highbeams shouldnt turn on at all when I unlock my door.

Could it be a faulty wire or it is possible the bulb is bad?I think that is why I didn't bother getting new headlights for a situation like that,I just changed the lightbulbs out really.

definitly a wiring issue, and i believe your highbeams flash when you unlock your car if you have it set that way in the DIC. check your wiring, get a test light, turn on the high beams and see what wire gets power, use the wiring harness to check, its easier that way. Then check what wire you have hooked up for the power and ground. if there both not working on brand new headlights and you wired them, its probobly the wiring you did and not both headlights. If you look at the bulbs and they dont look blown, then its definitly your wiring.

On most aftermarket headlights, your high beams will come on when you unlock your car. My gen4's do it and i've seen the gen2's do it as well.

yea when i used to have gen 2's they did it too. I turned it off in the DIC though. I would blind people in parking lots late at night when i walked out to my car and unlocked it far away
