Has anyone ever had this issue. I have a 07 base with aftermarket radio. I didnt use the expensive harnesses for the data bus and just ran a power lead to the main fuse box under the hood. It has been like this for over a year with no problems. Yesterday I was sitting at lunch listen to the radio like normal and when to start the car. There was was no power at all. The radio is still going but no juice when I turn the key. I got frustraded and started flipping switches and hit the headlamp switch going from auto when the car regained power. Today the exact same thing happend and I have made an appointment with a dealer but I wanted to know if anyone else had this so I have ammo when I get to the dealer. Trying to get it fixed because I only have 1000 miles left on the warranty. BTW I filmed it on the cell phone today so you can see what happens. Just waiting for youtube to finish processing the vid

sounds to me like your condition may be due to poor battery cable connections, i doubt it has anything to do with your radio, another possibility is the electrical ignition switch is malfunctioning

 

I just check the battery cables today, I take the car into the dealer tomorrow I will post the results.

 

If I had to guess.
It has something to do with the Rap relay.

 

If u are thinking about the relay that would play Jay Z... I would of posted that I smashed my radio instead.. haha not my thing.
