Not sure of the problem

I just bought a 2007 cobalt ss/sc with 99k miles on it with GM stage II and a k&n drop in filter. Boost is hitting 17-18psi, gas mileage is horrible, and the oil smells like gas. The level was good when I changed it and it didn't look runny. I've driven it for a few days and it's starting to very faintly smell like gas again. I've never driven an ss before so I'm not sure if it's got full power but it is still faster than a base. There are no codes. It slightly idles more rough than my dad's base but it's not really noticeable unless you listen to the exhaust closely. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I don't want the dealer to feed me bull and belive it because I know nothing.

Boost shouldnt be that high on stage 2 IIRC, Does the car have the original cat in it? If so, I'd drop it and make sure it wasnt clogged or or plugged up.

the cat section of the exhaust looks orange? Sorry I maybe misunderstanding you but if it does look orange after your done running the car and going into boost a lot, your cat is mostly shot.

If it smells like sulfur, your cat is probably toast. GEt under the car and bang on the cat and if it rattles that is a huge problem. But I still recommend dropping the downpipe and looking at it that way.

Bad piston rings could case that. Which could be a direct result of the clogged cat. Or the car could be running way to rich because of the clogged cat.

IIRC, there was a recall on the cat in the ss/sc. I may be wrong tho.

Bad cast maybe, bad rings would cause the smell, maybe even a leaky injector
