type of car you have? lt,ss,ss/sc? also, dont take this question the wrong way for real but do you reset your oil life monitor after the oil change. because it does not reset itself. seriously i'm not being a smart @$$ its called human error and we all do it sometimes
All the Cobalts reset the oil change through the DIC controls...but you can still reset it also by turning the key on, engine off, and pushing the gas pedal to the floor three times in a row. Hard to believe only the SS/TC is different from ALL the other models -- try it when you next change the oil and see if it works on the TC too.
i have an 07 ss.sc and to reset mine i have to hold down the info button and the button under neath that at the same time.. then let go, it should read like "units: english" go thru that menu and youll see "oil life reset" hold it like you would rest the trips and then let go.. tada... it'll say "acknowledge"

lol only poking fun, and you're right, that's the purpose of the site.

and im pretty sure 99% of the newer GM models are KOEO pump gas pedal 3 times. all preference really.
i've never heard of pumping the gas pedel. i don't even bother with that thing anyway. i keep a log in my glovebox of everything that i do with the car. when i fill up i write the date, miles, gallons. i write whenever i change any filters and oils, along with the date and miles. everything that has anything to do with the car is in that book. so really i have no need to that monitor and i just reset it whenever it get at a low percentage
