Thanks for the input. Should have been more clear I guess.

Need help: My 2006 Aveos Pressure sensor light flashes on. Now heres the story:
We are turboing my little beast and we had to fool with the oil pressure sensor to make it fit to some fittings and such. Long story short, we ended up having to take a torch to it to free it from the fittings. Well the heat I think compromised the plastic part of the sensor and was causing it to leak oil when the vehicle is on. This weekend i pulled the sensor to jb weld where the plastic meets the metal on the sensor in an attempt to seal it up. It sealed fine around the base and no longer leaks from where the metal and plastic meet. Now it leaks from where the electrical wire plugs into the sensor. Ok, that really sux but the leak is only about half of what it was so its better anyways, not fixed but better. So I was gonna head off to the store to get some food and when I put it in gear and started backing out of the driveway, the Oil Pressure warning light started flickering. I put the clutch in and it stopped. I put the car into first and started to roll and as I gave it gas the light started flickering again, so i turned the car off and then turned it back on. I started to pull back into the driveway and it kept flickering. Previous to this I added oil to the car so I know its not low as it was reading halfway between the MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick. Can anyone offer some advice here? Please and thank you.

I got the new oil pressure sensor from the dealership, and I installed it. After I installed it, I started the car and let it run for 5 minutes. When it first started it was a little hesitant like it was "stumbling and stuttering" but it quickly smoothed out. After letting it run for 5 minutes I pulled out of the driveway and drove around the block a few times and it ran good as new. YAY, no leaks and it runs! I was uber excited! So i parked it and went to go get ready for work. When I went to leave for work, it started up normal (it only sat for 30 minutes) and I started to go about my merry way. I had just got out of the driveway and as I was about to put it in first it happened. The oil light started flickering again. WTF! I put it in first and started driving and it went away as soon as I gave the car gas. Whew, ok, maybe its just a false alarm. I got to the stopsign at the end of my block and came to a complete stop. Then it came on again...WTF? I revved it, and it went off but as soon as the revs came down and it was idling, it came back on. I decided to see if I could at least get it down the street a few blocks w/out it coming on. I drove it and as I was driving, it never came on but as soon as I stopped, it would start flickering again. So, now the problem of the light comin on while driving is gone, but now it comes on at idle. Also, I stopped at a gas station to get a pop and when I came back and started the car after it had been sitting for about 5 minutes, the light didnt come on right away. Only after I revved it a little bit did it start flashing again at idle. Im so confused. The only thing I can think of right now is, when the old sensor was leakin, the last place it leaked from was where the wire adapter piece plugged into the sensor. Is it possible the oil in the connector is maybe screwing up the connection? I wouldnt think it would hurt it, but then again, Im not a mechanic either. Please help!
Also, Im working on getting a oil pressure guage.

Does the turbo not use the engine oil to lube and cool the bearings.
If so could there be a restriction there.
I had the same flickering of the oil sensor light because of a bad oil filter once and it would only flicker at idle but went away when it was reved.
But in your case I think the oil sensor is done.

The turbo isnt on yet. =( But I replaced the sensor so the sensor is good. And I am using a Mobil 1 oil filter-Id expect it to be good, but thats a good idea, I will check next chance, thanks! ^
I think you would understand better if you were there when we were doing it. We found out we cant use a gravity feed style ( I think thats what its called) to get oil to the turbo. Its a beeeoooottcchhhh. I believe this was the reasoning. Im not the one doing all the dirty work on the car, my guy who is an ASE certified mechanic is the one doing the work for me. If I was the one doing the work, well, I wouldnt be very far
But thats not really the issue, I need to figure out why my car is messing up. Its very frustrating. Im wondering if I maybe got air in the system and now I need to change the oil and in less technical words, "burp" the system.
