Oil Pressure Light

Has anyone else ever had a malfunctioning Oil Pressure light?

I think everyone should somehow check to make sure their lights are working before the same thing happens to you as what happened to me.

From now on, I will always have an oil pressure gauge in my future cars.

Let's just say there was half a quart in the oil pan, and I had no prior warning.

Not sure. It isn't leaking and it isn't burning, so I have reason to suspect that it wasn't completely filled when I had my last oil change ~1000mi ago

Yup, went to the dealer today

The parts guy made a comment like "Wow! Don't get people coming in here asking for those very often"

Then he pulled up the bearings on the computer and **** his pants when it said they had a single set in stock!

I can only imagine how long it must have been sitting on the shelves for...

Not a bad price at all. And yea, I didnt see the thread asking for the part numbers.

Pardon my asking, why didnt you just change the oil yourself?

I live in an apartment complex in the city. Also I have no oil draining pan or a jack. It's just easier to spend twenty bucks to bring the car to a garage.

Those are the crank bearings, not the rod bearings, there's a difference.

My buddy cleaned out his garage and put his weekend toy out into the driveway for a week.
