Noticed slight oil spotting on the head/block interface...it's not coolant.

Any thoughts? It's not flowing..just spotting. Car has 20K mi.

With 2.0L Engine RPO LNF Only

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:
A technician may comment of an oil leak in the high pressure fuel pump area.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering has determined that an oil leak in this area is most likely coming from the #6 intake cam cap at the high pressure fuel pump. To repair this concern the technician should reseal the cam cap. Follow eSI procedure under "Engine | Engine Mechanical - 2.0L | Repair Instructions - On Vehicle | Intake Camshaft and Valve Lifter Replacement " for repair instructions and specific locations to apply sealer for the #6 cap

Yep, had mine fixed on my HHR SS under warranty when it was stock.

 

do u guys have it where i posted my pic?

 

dealer told me this is normal maby someone spilled oil while filling during oil change.

My leak was where Ronn first pic shows.

Got boost, that area is dry on my car.

I don't think there is any seal in that area? It's not the valve cover area.
Doesn't look like much of anything.

 

holy crap, i have no time for that. lol i do my own oil changes and use my funel with to bases old oil cap extender. so i know its a leak.

 

I just had my dealer fix that leak under warranty and when I got it back they did a shitty job of cleaning up oil that ran down to the bottom of the motor. I had to use 2 cans of brake clean to clean it up. At least the leak is fixed. Oh and they test drove it for 44 miles too.
