Ok so the past couple of days ive been having a problem with the cobalt. Its been really hard to get into gear, and my clutch is real loose and feels sticky, kinda. So i noticed i have a brake fluid idiot light, so i popped the hood and looked at the DOT 3 container. Well yeah thats completely empty. So i called a buddy and told him what was going on and he told me thats why i has having problems with getting it into gear. He said its all tied into the system. So basicly because our clutch is hydrolic there is no pressure.
So is this true?

yup thats true most of the new cars run the clutch from the same fluid as the brakes and that is why she wont go into gear

if you are out of brake fluid you need to look at why. dollars to donuts you have a bad slave cylender and its leaking the fluid out there. look under the car were the tranny means the engine, if there is brake fluid on the bottom of it, your slave cylinder needs to be replaced. just adding fluid and bleeding the system isnt going to work, and continued driving with a leaking slave can take out for clutch because is gets fluid on it, or worse yet, because the clutch isnt able to fully release, you can take out the syncros.

Well I had to have it towed it was the saddest thing I've ever seen. I had a feeling it was th slave so its on its way to the dealer so hop full this doesn't empty my pockets.

so what ive figured out is its, either the pressure plate with the clutch or the slave cylinder in case the clutch would not be covered under warranty and the slave cylinder should be so i hope its the slave cylinder or else i guess im out some money
