Angry One after another...

Yesterday I'm out cruising with some friends, and one of them notices something hanging underneath my car. I look at it and its the heat shield covering the gas tank, its all twisted backwards for some reason. Not having a decent jack or stands, I pull it back as much as i can and continue on. I put the car on stands today and bent it all back, but its weird because theres no scrape marks, no dents, no nothing like i hit something, and cannot recall running anything over or something. Just weird, so I fix that today, rotate the tires, and lower the car down. I move it outside, go to get out, and the damn drivers side door WON'T OPEN again. This is the third time this has happened to me, the first two were fixed by the dealer. But I'm out of warranty now, and am not paying for labor. I've searched but could not find a fix how to for the door. Anyone point me in the direction. First thing would be getting the door open. I've tried the lock unlock lock unlock trick, never works, even the first couple times this happened. So now I'm stuck climbing out the window or the passenger side til I can find time to fix this. Then I had to go to jewel, i parked far away so no one would see me climb out the passenger side, and then a Z28 parks by me and looks at me like im crazy getting out of my car lol. I go in, come back out to leave...car wont start, acts like the battery is dead. Clutch in, out in out a few times to make sure its not the switch. After about 5 times of trying to get it to start, it starts up just fine. Drive it home, try to start it again, same thing. I checked the battery, connections, everything, its all fine. So I don't know, sorry for the complaining I just have wayyyyy to much going on lately and this just adds to it.

/rant and thanks for any help, greatly appreciated!!!

Have you used the spare key for some reason? Can you here the clutch switch? Mine wouldnt start one time because I used the extra key and it decoded itself somehow.

I used it last week but everything was fine. And yes I can, that was my first thought when it wouldn't start. I played with the clutch putting it in and out trying to start it but nothing worked. Then I tried again and it started like there was nothing wrong with it.

I'm just irritated to hell with it right now, plus I want to lower my payments a bit, so I'm gonna go look at this tomorrow: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...000&cardist=26

Haha nice, thats funny. This car has a mind of its own, it started just fine this morning, and has been good all day. I took the manual lock on the door(the one that goes up and down) slammed it down and it clicked, door opens now. Hope that fixes it for a while, or until I can trade it in lol.

Lol yeah I tried playing with the locks for about 10 minutes last night, didnt have any luck. Today I went to try and pull the panel off, decided to just slam the thing down and it worked. Damn that sucks about it happening at that time, same here I wanted to get it fixed due to possibly trading it in soon.

I was thinking about looking into that with this being the third time, but my car doesn't fall under most of their categories. Thanks anyway.

now i guess us ls guys with manual doors and windows got one up on you guys LOL... however im about to buy a power door lock kit on ebay so i'll have keyless entry... the windows don't bother me, its the whole trying to find the lock on my imp blue in the dark and scared to scratch the door is reason behind purchasing the power lock kit.

hey man glad you made it to the meet here in indy...

I had the same problem from time to time with my old balt, I was told their was a tsb but never had it fixed before I traded it in.

If you can make it back to Indy I have a guy thats a GM tech and I assure you he can fix it and prolly not break your bank in the process!

So I would say ROADTRIP!

Lol I wish I could make it down. I've almost got my heart set on a G6, but if I decide to keep it I'll definitely look into having him do it. And I'm very glad I made it down too, had a blast with everyone, was a great time!

Even if you had it fixed under warranty, don't most dealers warranty there work and parts for 12months/12000 miles? Maybe you could get them to fix it that way?

He did do a wet pavement burnout for me though.. like.. 45 seconds long (for real, the car was in 3rd or 4th gear by the time he let off..lol)

I might let you slid if you get the GTP.. I was gonna harrass you otherwise

Yeah. I had my drivers side door lock F*ck up on me too. Happened twice, but hasn't happened in a while. Sometimes I do think these cars have a mind of their own...

My roomate has a G6 GTP... they are alright, but are a pain in the ass and expensive to make very quick at all... no aftermarket support worth speaking of.

Yeah I couldn't find too much for them, theres a few good exhaust systems but not too much else. I'm not looking to go fast with it, just an exhaust and intake and tints I'll be happy. I'm moving out so won't have money to mod anyway.
